Payment channels for the 2025 allowances
NSFAS has advised that payment channels for the 2025 allowances will be as follows:
Disbursements through universities:Â
- Learning materials allowances for the 2025 academic year.
- Living expenses allowances for February, March, May, June, and July 2025.
- Transport allowances for February, March, May, June, and July 2025.
- All allowances for pre-funder students.
- All allowances for beneficiaries of NSFAS disability funding.
Disbursements through NSFAS:
- Private accommodation allowances – directly to landlords.
Disbursements through NSFAS-appointed direct payment partners:
- Living expenses allowances for April 2004 and for August 2024 onwards.
- Travel allowances for April 2004 and for August 2024 onwards.
How Often Does Nsfas Give Funding To Students Per Month 2025
If you are identified as a beneficiary, a monthly student allowance will be given to you. It should be mentioned that this normally starts as soon as academic activities pick back up.
