How Much Nsfas Allowance 2025-2026
When planning for higher education in South Africa, financial aid through NSFAS plays a critical role for many students. The NSFAS (National Student Financial Aid Scheme) provides allowances to help cover essential costs like tuition, accommodation, and living expenses. For the 2025-2026 academic year, many students and applicants are eager to know how much allowance they will receive to support their studies. Nsfas allocates bursaries to students accepted into the scheme as allowances every academic year. The NSFAS is a financial scheme operating under the Department of Higher Education and Training of South Africa which provides financial support to eligible South African citizens who have applied or are currently studying at any of the public colleges and universities. The Nsfas bursary gives out money to students to pay registration fees, tuition fees, accommodation, transport, learning materials, and many more. If you want to benefit from the bursary, the 2025-2026 application period is open from the 21st of November 2024 and closes on the 15th of December 2024.
