Many South African Tvet colleges do not offer accommodation for their students, the few that offer have limited spaces available. The following documentation must be submitted to apply for NSFAS bursaries to cover your college housing expenses in Tshwane South:

• APPLICANT’S Identification DOCUMENT (certified copy of the student’s identity document or, if under the age of 18, a certified copy of the birth certificate);
• Registration documents (statement of results or academic record and printed proof of registration)
• If one or both parents are deceased, certified copies of identity documents and/or a certified copy of the death certificate are required. If the student is unsure of the whereabouts of one or both of their parents, an affidavit is required.
• Salary advice slips from the guardian or both parents that are no older than three (3) months, a letter from the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) or a pension slip if the guardian or parents are pensioners, or an affidavit if they are unemployed.
• Proof of residence (By the Financial Intelligence Centre Act 83 of 2001). NSFAS is required to obtain FICA documents at the time of initial contact with the students. The proof of address must be a certified copy. Copies of the signed rental agreements for the travel and lodging documents are attached.
• Travel and Accommodation documents (if applicable) are attached as copies of signed rental agreements.
• In respect of an unemployed parent, it is the parent and not the student, who must submit an affidavit.
