Are you a student at a private college in South Africa wondering if NSFAS funding is available to you? While NSFAS focuses on funding students at public universities and Tvet colleges, there are certain circumstances under which private college students may be qualified for funding.

Many keep asking, does NSFAS provide funds for private schools in South Africa, the answer is no they do not because NSFAS has been designed to provide financial support to South African Students who study in public (government colleges and Universities) institutions. The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a government-sponsored scholarship that offers bursaries to students to cover registration fees, tuition, accommodations, and monthly allowances.

Nsfas Application Opening Date for 2025

The online application date for Nsfas 2025 begins on September 20th, 2024, and closes on December 15th, 2024. Therefore, applicants are requested to submit their applications by the deadline.

Nsfas Application Qualifications 2025

The following are some of the needed documents required for the Nsfas application:

• SASSA grant recipients
• South African citizens or permanent residents
• Candidates whose annual gross household income combined is not greater than R350 000
• individuals with disabilities whose annual gross family income is not greater than R600,000.
• Both a cell phone number and email address are required.
