To be considered for financial assistance, you need to meet the NSFAS qualifying criteria. Knowing the NSFAS qualifying criteria is important to determine if you are eligible for funding. NSFAS bursaries are available to students who intend to attend TVET Colleges and public universities. These bursaries cover funding for tuition, registration fees and allowances, transportation, accommodation, and more.
To be eligible for NSFAS funding – an applicant must be a South African citizen and come from a family with a combined annual household income of not more than R350 000 per annum (in the case of students with a disability the combined annual household income may not exceed R600 000 per annum).
