Nsfas Postgraduate 2025-2026
Nsfas Postgraduate Courses 2025-2026
NSFAS is a government entity under the Department of Higher Education and Training established according to the NSFAS Act (Act 56 of 1999) to provide financial support to disadvantaged students who wish to further their studies at public universities or TVET colleges.
Several undergraduate courses and programs are funded by Nsfas. All South Africans who enroll in Tvet colleges and public universities who are pursuing their career in undergraduate courses can apply. But many also keep asking, does Nsfas provide funds for students studying postgraduate programs? Yes, Nsfas gives funds for postgraduate programmes but it’s for a few selected courses.
Many postgraduate diplomas, honors degrees, master’s degrees, and doctorate degrees are typically not funded by NSFAS. However, students enrolled in the aforementioned courses also have an additional option. Students pursuing honors, master’s, doctoral, and postgraduate diplomas can also apply online at www.nrf.ac.za for financial support from the National Research Foundation (NRF).
