The process by which NSFAS works with SASSA and the Department of Home Affairs to undertake independent audits is termed the validation period. In this method, they can determine whether you are eligible for NSFAS funding by checking the data you provided and your household income.

Applications applicants go through a validation process, and with their Mynsfas account which has been created on the Nsfas website or portal, students can track the progress of their application as soon as they send their application and they will find out that their application is at the validation step.

There is no specific time or period set by Nsfas to check whether the application has passed through the validation stage, it is then advised that applicants keep checking their status as frequently as they can.

How Long Will The Nsfas Validation Period Take 2024

Your application will be approved by NSFAS not more than 30 days after application. Therefore, following the submission of their funding application, students are advised to regularly monitor the progress of their NSFAS applications.

• Log in to your myNSFAS account.
• Click on ‘Track Funding Progress’.

How To Apply For Nsfas 2024-2025

Follow this process to apply for Nsfas 2024:

• Visist the NSFAS website www.nsfas.org.za
• Click on the “MyNSFAS” tab
• Create a MyNSFAS account
• Click on the Apply button
• Provide your personal information
• Answer questions provided
• Provide all your supporting documents (Transcripts and ID numbers)
• Finally, click on Submit
